Hoadley Economic Forecast with Tom Campbell. As we enter 2008 with a volatile stock market and a real estate crisis, what's essential to know about the economy for the year ahead? Former member of Congress and Haas Business School Dean Campbell helps us navigate uncertain economic waters in the annual forecast - The Commonwealth Club of California Tom Campbell is the thirteenth dean of the Haas School of Business, a position he has held since August 2002. He formerly held positions of US Congressman, California State Senator, Stanford University law professor, and, recently, California's Director of Finance. In December 2004, Dean Campbell took a one-year leave of absence from the school after being appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to be director of the California Department of Finance. He returned as dean of the Haas School in November 2005. Prior to joining the Haas School in 2002, Dean Campbell was a law professor at Stanford University Law School for 19 years, beginning in 1983. He was elected five times to represent the Silicon Valley area of California in the United States Congress. During a two-year term, he earned ratings by the Sacramento-based "California Journal" as the most ethical state senator, the best overall senator and the state Senate's best problem solver.

I am glad that you have read my reasoning for being an EU-refuser at the moment. I am open to discuss it even further, as this box for 500 cases is not suffucient, at all. :-) Have a nice evening, man!

hmm i never looked at it that way...
Krasoslav (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
...the current EU as it is more full of feministic, leftist, socialist, climate alarmist elements. I have always been for one Europe, HOWEVER, through freedom and responsibility, not through regulations, mountains of laws and without socialist/communist freaks. If there were the United States of Europe with low taxes, regulations, with the euro, federal parlament, one army etc., I would not mind. But I can never agree with subsidies and powers for farmers and other parasites (trade unions).

Not a great supporter of the EU? Now with the Lisbon Treaty almost in effect, we are slowly becoming a superstate. We must UNITE my friend.

i didnt mean coins I meant banknots
Krasoslav (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
The size of coins is normal, more or less the same as the American ones. Compare it e.g.with British coins, those are kind of weird as concerns the size. Anyways, buy yourself a better wallet or a sack, alternatively, you paycard instead of cash. That is what I do.

I am from Czechia, the EU Member State since 2004, we haven´t adopted the euro, as yet, we are to do so by 2105 (as per current perspective). Even though I am not a great supporter of the EU, I reckon that the euro is one of the most successful thing of European integration and wanting it or not, the single European currency in spite of its inner weaknesses, it is has got a lot of outter strength. It has bright/some FUTURE unlike US dollar.
