I didnt watch the movie dont know if I even wanna see it lol. But aparently the finala day of earth is Dec 21st 2012. So we dont get to enjoy one last christmas. lol. Well I heared many other things, in 2012 meteor hits earth, 2012 metror misses earth saved 2012, Jesus is coming in 2012 and gonna save us all and take us away while the earth goes through hardcore changes for the next 7 years, theres many many ideas by all different kind of people, theres more then those idea's, of course lol.

@JoDaddyy True, most of it is just a scare tactic. They found out 'The Day After Tomorrow', really sold the global warming scam better than Al Gore did, so they're taking another whack at it this time with something else. Although this time I don't know the political or financial motive... I guess we'll see.

@savedogz lol... not like the movie.. The scientific idea is that the poles shift and during which time the Earth's magnetic field becomes weaker, permitting larger doses of radiation and therefore mutations. Exobiology has taught us that basic ammino acids can be synthesized from common elements and radiation. Also, the Mayans didn't mean armageddon, they meant a 'transformation'. So far we are right on schedule as the magnetic poles are accelerating. (Did the movie mention that?)

@3312cdfp5674 saying they stretch is, well, a stretch. They allow for contraction and expansion, but are not necessarily elastic...

bridges are built to stretch. engineers put small gaps between so the bridge can grow and shrink according to temperature. the gap you see is the result

For the 2012 theory, as most of you are discussing. I do think that most of what the majority of what people believe, about destruction and the end of the world theory's are a load of bull. The movie that is coming out about 2012 is for one purpose...to play with our fear and minds. Something is bound to happen, but not as severe as what most is believed about it.

i believe destruction will come but we cannot set a date,it can happen anytime,we are being warned but many are not afraid or just dont care.just make sure you die with Christ in your heart
