i jus started using silk elements relaxer and that has to be theee best one ive ever used. its in a green shiny box i think its by pink not sure. but i use pantene products the brown bottle(for black ppl) and olive oil both work fine for me (shampoo conditioners and hair oil) & a chi flat iron. ever since i used that stuff my hair been growing fine and looking healthier.

have you done protein treatments? i jus started them your really only supposed to get one a yr but my hair was damaged so bad from prom and graduation i had to get 4 (one every six weeks) my hair is waaayyyy healthier than it was before and ppl are really noticing it. i got like 4in cut off so that all my ends would be even ,well not split. & my hair started growing . i got cape verdean in me so i have very fine hair but i dnt think that really makes a difference.

You might want to consider laying off the heat. Doesn't matter if your hair is relaxed or natural. Your hair needs a break from heat every now and then. And IF you are pressing it with a lot of oils you are pretty much "cooking" your hair. Let your hair be heat free for quite some time and let it heal and you may see a big difference. Hopefully your hair isn't too heat damaged to save it. Good Luck!

I've traveled all over the world,some of the longest hair I've ever seen was on African Women,especially in Ethiopia and some parts of The Ivory Coast,so yes Africans as well as African Americans can and do grow very long hair,and no slower or faster than other ethnicity.I have very long loc's What a myth,and sadly some Black men and women believe,if we believe some thing minor like that about ourselves,what major things do we believe about ourselves??When, oh when we we see that we are awesome

black hair can grow but its very slow. I'm transitioning and my hair seems like it doesnt even grow atleadt 1/2 a month!
