Agree, the Earth won't end over this issue, but it would be nice if CCP would just announce at a fan fest that they are aware of this issue.
If I could afford it I'd go to the Iceland bash myself and in the FF Q&A session as the dev team to their faces about this issue. But I can't afford to. :-(

I actually run it at 1920x1200 and have not had a problem. I've not had a problem for the three years I have done this, nor did I have the problem with running 1600x1200 beforehand.
I appreciate a fair few people complain about it, but you need to remember that forum posters != a lot of EVE players. I can guarantee you the majority of the playerbase still run on 1600x1080 at the most.
I appreciate your point, but its not the end of the world or EVE that they didn't announce any font changes.

Ok you say it'll be in a patch note, but increasing the font size is a big issue for a LOT of Eve players, as this issue goes back years, and many posts on the forum have complained about it fromplayers who have large monitors at a high resolution to use the monotors as they should be. i.e. no much point having a 24 inch or bigger monitor if you are just going to have it at a 17 in resolution i.e. 1024 x 768

Then how is CCP going to inform its player base that the font in the main setting window i.e. what you get when you press Esc have been increase to 18 points, soplayed don't have to look at the games improved graphics on a lower resolution.
In other words, not much point in having HD graphics, if the text is to dam small to read when your resolution is at 1920 x 1080 for HD, CCP might as well not have made its improved graphics HD.

Something like text size will be patched in with very little fanfare. I doubt very much there will even be a forum post on it sans the usual patchnotes.

DUST is strictly Console, they don't want to take EVE players away from EVE, they want a way for Console players that would /hate/ EVE can get into the EVE universe.
And the best way to do this is make a console-exclusive AWESOME MMOFPS

Tried all that, but the text font still is to small for the resolution. If CCP increase the font size to 18 points it'd solve this game defect in one go. BTW its not just me who has noticed this game mistake, lots of other people have also mentioned it, and CCP knows all about it.

So? Drop the playing resolution down to 1280x720 and slap on some AA, AF and crank the HDR...
