Now I hope you don't mind me saying this but the main word for Hello in Persian is actually Salam, Goodbye is Khodafez, Please is Khahesh, and What is your name is Nam man hast, but yes you can also say Dorood for Hello, maybe where you are from Dorood is common for Hello.
