People DO decide to make words derogatory words and slang words. But mind you, those aren't posted in the dictionary. That's because they aren't the actual definitions, they are slangs. And just because some ignorant, pathetic, loser starts using a derogatory term, and pathetic idiots follow, doesn't mean you have to. If you mean 'stupid' say 'stupid'. 'Insane' say 'insane'. It's not that hard.

I'm fully aware of the real meaning of the words. And the context in which I used it not being the real meaning of the word is exactly my point. All language and meaning of words comes from what somebody has decided it means, meanings change. Take 'spastic' for example. Not originally a derogatory term, but it began to be used as one, thus the meaning was changed. I am in no way ignorant, and am completely understanding of the English language and how I use it.

"Mongoloid' means the skull that is of Asians and the Asian race. The way you used it was derogatory-so that's not the meaning of the word. Just like 'retarded' doesn't mean stupid. It never did, it never will. The meaning of words don't change. Ignorant people just come up with the excuse.

Because racism was even more prevalent back then. It's just like the terms, 'gay', 'homo', 'f*g', and 'retarded' in the modern day used as derogatory terms.
