It's a bit more complex than that. The FDIC will sell off the bank and all of its assets. All insured funds will be paid regardless of the revenue generated by liquidation of the bank. Additional "profit" generated by the sale will then be distributed equally among those who had over 100k ($250K based on the new legislation).

This is all about the Federal Reserve Act. Research it and tell your Representatives you want the Federal Reserve Act repealed!

Work camps? Reminds me of Fascism, Nazism, and Stalinist Communism. The kind of places where they make you do back breaking work, like mining, leveling mountains+hills, digging ditches for foundations for buildings, cutting trees, or any other manual work.

Dont worry everything is gonna be alright. After more banks fail, and more people loose their homes, and unemployment increases. Then the government will step in and help those people in need.BY sendinging them to relocation/help facilities run by FEMA.Once there you will get (gmo)food, medical care(inoculations)and they will find you employment(work camps).Although you may have to brace yourself,to do your part, you may have to be separated from your family members for a time

There is $6.84 Trillion in bank deposits. $2.60 Trillion of that is uninsured. Total cash on hand at banks is $273.7 Billion. If uninsured depositors start asking for cash on the barrelhead, things could get ugly real fast. The vast majority of those uninsured deposits probably are corporate accounts. Anyone with a corporate account at a distressed institution better do something about it pronto unless employees will be happy with a delayed paycheck of 50 cents on the dollar.

1--FDIC is funded by the banks it insures, not the taxpayers: read your history 2--Because of the FDIC, depositors of this bank haven't lost their life savings 3-I didn't have money at this bank, but did at another FDIC-insured bank that failed (years ago) and I was paid dollar-for-dollar. Those that are griping don't know what they're talking about
