droped wht ? lololo..maybe in america land of the gas tractors...just in case ..well of course u dont know....diesels have the proper torque and torque range....on a gas engine you he to carry a otherwise useless reduction....and of course i know the h1 will leave the touareg behind on some off road sections...BUT..if properly modified..like no bumpers and springs/shocks like in the paris/dakar rally..i'm talking mofo big 1 foot in length...then it will easely match the h1...and it total style.

lol..touareg just needs a good tune to make use of its superyour chassis...just tke off the bumpers and upgrade those stupis springs nd shocks...with no bumpers and a groung clearance as the h1 it will easyle keep up..nopoint in surpassing because i admit thats the last level anyone needs from any 4x4..still if proprely modified it will no doubt be a match.

Your friend must of have older CTIS system. Let me make a little suggestion to your friend - get undercarriage protection(found on later models). He would of have to drop off the cliff to brake u joint...

when you break a bead without ctis you don't lose all tires!! a friend of mine broke his front u joint on his h1 dropping into a hole, the shaft spun and sheared off the filter and fried the motor. i would say nothing if i didn't have first hand knowledge of the thing.

That is besides the fact that V10 diesel useless in Touareg. No wonder it was taken off production - nobody cared.
