You might interested to know, prior to Gulf & Western acquiring Desilu in 1967, several other television shows were filmed on the Paramount lot (e.g.,"Bonanza", "T.H.E. Cat"., and "Time For Beany" was filmed at KTLA, which at that time, was owned by Paramount.

The VHS/Beta tape that this was sourced from looks like it's been around for a long time!

I watch the "CGI-ified" Star Trek reruns most Saturday nights, and the Desilu closing logo is there. It actually appears to be enhanced or redone or restored or something, because it's crisp and detailed.

STAR TREK rerun in closing is no longer has the DESILU logo nor PARAMOUNT logo. now STAR TREK closing now has CBS/PARAMOUNT logo. they shound kept DESILU logo on STAR TREK and MISSION IMPOSSIBLE closing then the CBS/PARAMOUNT logo.you will not see DESILU logo/jingle (i love the DESILU jingle)on none of MISSION or STAR TREK endings.

This logo (w/signature) DID appear at the end of "THE LUCY SHOW" and "MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE" as well, during the 1966-'67 season.

One of the great TV icons of all time in all its four-second glory! FYI, the fanfare music was composed by Wilbur Hatch, the musical director of "I Love Lucy" (and head of music at Desilu until Lucy sold the studio to Gulf + Western Industries) |
