People think America did everything to repel the Japanese from the Pacific, but China was also in dark times, and suffered far worse than the Russians had. The Russians had planes and tanks and modern weaponary and all China every had was a American composed air force using world war 1 planes. If you look closely, they are using WW1 machine guns and Czech ZB VZ.26. Too bad you couldn't of said something constructive, because you just mention a statement without any backup. And judging by the language you displayed, your probably irrational. I suggest you think outside the box, be optismistic, and view issues from both perspectives to get a better understanding. The Soviet style communism has led you to think that all communism is bad. China's communism is far less strict, China by far is the most open communist country.

Chinese nationalist party were allied with nazi germany. Soviets provided china with suppies against the japanese who werent allied with nazi germany yet. Once Germany invaded the soviets... that ended china's relationship with Germany. And their type 9 rifles.. not k98 mausers.

Why were the chinese using the german mauser 98 rifle, i thought nationalism and communism where arch enemies in politics.

At that time it was united front Red Army and the KMT Nationalis joined forces, that is why the KMT symbol on the caps. When the Chinese stop fight each other they make a formidable force to be reckon with.
