I love how Liam's phrasing and timing are always absolutely perfect. He's not the flashiest piper out there, but there's a solidity to his playing that boggles the mind. Thanks for posting!

Hi, The second piper, O'Mealy, is my great-grand uncle, Richard O'Mealy, born 1873 in Ballynacarrigy Co. Westmeath and died 1947 in Belfast. I have to chuckle over the comment about he being one of Francis O'Neill's friends, Sgt O'Meally from America...because Richard never travelled to America and he was never any kind of a Police Officer! He was a draper at a large Belfast Department store, and he made and played pipes "after hours". There is however, a brief biography of him in O'Neill's. |
