Media Blitz DIRECTOR

That is actually quite interesting;did you work for said corporation or are you merely an avid fan?

Media Blitz was an early eighties punk rock cable tv show based in orange county but also telecast in parts of LA and San Diego. Thanks largely to the help of Flipside magazine and GoldenVoice concerts Media Blitz was able to get some really great bands like Christian Death, Specimen, Black Flag, Toy Dolls, Tones On Tail, The Addicts, to name a few... The show was never syndicated and last aired in 1987 which is why you've probably never heard of it...

I know this may seem ignorant of me to ask but what is or was mediablitz?
MediaBlitzDIR (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
This video was shot January 24th 1984.

Adolescents guitarist Rikk Agnew was responsible for Christian Death's haunting riffs. Rikk is not the guitar player seen in this video although the audio used was recorded by Rikk.

No one at the station noticed until it had already aired 2 or 3 times. We did catch some flak for that, and had to explain the lyrics and how it really is a slam of racism and the klan. We actually got in more trouble for Ross smoking... because smoking was prohibited in the studio or around the video equipment.

No, they were not playing live -- nor was the audio dubbed over after the fact. The studio Media Blitz used lacked the sound equipment to due a proper audio mix.
