This actually began with my six year old daughter, Genna, saying to me yesterday, “You ought to get me a clown dollie.” Such a subtle child, really. So I began poking around Amazon.com, and found some cute things, but they were either too young for her, too old for her, or she already had it—an occupational hazard around our house. And today, while doing something totally unconnected, I ran across this 8” plush doll of Bozo the Clown. I personally grew up with Bob Bell as WGN-TV’s Bozo the clown, and my children have several of the Bozo cartoons, as well as the Frank Avurch portrayal of Bozo on DVD, so they know and love him too. And even if they didn’t, she would still love this “clown dollie”.
