They Went That-A-Way & That-A-Way | Tim Conway | It was a daring escape ... from sanity!“They Went That-A-Way & That-A-Way” is a slapstick comedy written by and starring Tim Conway, in which a pair of incompetent police officers are sent to jail as undercover agents to find out where a notorious bank robber has hidden the money from his last heist.  To preserve secrecy, only the Governor knows of their undercover status.  The good news is, they actually manage to find out where the money is hidden; the bad news is, the Governor dies before he can have them released.  What can the duo do?  The only logical thing, of course—escape from the jail, recover the money and take it to the (new) governor.

As with other Tim Conway films, “They Went That-A-Way & That-A-Way” is a collection of slapstick routines, many of them hilarious.  Probably the funniest scene in the film is where Tim Conway has to pull a bad tooth from the Warden’s mouth—truly a “laugh-out-loud” moment, and well worth the price of admission for that bit alone.  Since it’s now available as part of a double feature DVD, it’s an even better bargain.
