White Christmas (1954), starring: Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye

After leaving the Army after W.W.II, Bob Wallace (Bing Crosby) and Phil Davis (Danny Kaye) team up to become a top song-and-dance act. Davis plays matchmaker and introduces Wallace to a pair of beautiful sisters (Betty and Judy) who also have a song-and-dance act. When Betty and Judy travel to a Vermont lodge to perform a Christmas show, Wallace and Davis follow, only to find their former commander, General Waverly, is the lodge owner. A series of romantic mix-ups ensue as the performers try to help the General.

The Incredible Mr. Limpet, starring Don Knotts | DVD review

The incredible Don Knotts does a wonderful turn in this film as the incredible Mr. Limpet -- one of the very few appearances where he is *not* playing a variation on his 'Barney Fife' character

The Circus | Charlie Chaplin | Merna Kennedy | DVD review

DVD review of Charlie Chaplin's underrated classic silent film, 'The Circus' - the scene with Chaplin on the high wire with the monkeys is worth the price of the DVD all by itself (and the rest isn't bad either )

'Yours, Mine and Ours' is a wonderful family film starring Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda, with wonderful 'minor' performances by Van Johnson as Fonda's friend and Tom Bosley as the family doctor - a precursor to 'The Brady Bunch' - only *so* much better ...
