The Devil’s Brother, starring Laurel and Hardy

Set in Italy in the 1700's, Stanio and Ollio are failed bandits who unwittingly attempt to rob the 'king of bandits', Fra Diavolo (the Devil's Brother) -- who punishes Stanlio by having him hang Ollio, but when Stanlio bungles the job, Fra Diavolo gives them a second chance. He takes them along when he goes undercover to rob the rick Lord Rochburg (Laurel and Hardy regular James Finlayson) and to woo the beautiful Lady Pamela (Thelma Todd). Until Stanlio and Ollio bungle things ... again ... and they wind up in front of a firing squad

The Masquerader - Charlie Chaplin

In 'The Masquerader', Charlie Chaplin plays the part of an actor who, after a slapstick interaction with Fatty Arbuckle, bungles several scenes and is fired. He returns in disguise as a beautiful young, lady and charms the director into hiring 'her' -- but when he reveals his identity, a chase ensues, with Charlie ending up in a well.

Three Little Pigskins - the Three Stooges

In 'Three Little Pigskins', the Three Stooges (Moe, Larry, Curly) are mistaken for the 'Three Horsemen of Boulder Dam,' famous college football players, and hired by a gambler to play for his team. They agree, blow the big game, and get their just deserts. A young Lucille Ball has a part as a gun moll.

Too Many Crooks - I Love Lucy

Fred and Ethel (and even Mrs. Trumball) think that Lucy is the notorious “Madame X” that has been robbing nearby apartments; she’s not, of course, but soon Ethel is spying on her from the fire escape, with Fred's old coat for warmth ... and soon she's suspected by Lucy ... while the real Madame X is prowling!
