Many people tend to think of Charlie Chaplin as a great movie clown, actor, writer, director or even producer—but few people think of him as a composer of music.  This is understandable, since the majority of his films were silent, but even those silent films had music playing while the movie was being shown—and Charlie Chaplin composed many of those tunes, especially for his feature length films.  A sample of Charlie Chaplin’s musical credits include:
