The agnostic was having a disagreement with his friend, a Christian, about the accuracy of the Bible.
"I don’t believe in the Bible because the authors are unknown," said the agnostic.
Rather than arguing about who authored what, the Christian replied, "Well, then, I expect you don’t believe in the multiplication tables, either."
"What? Why not? There’s not connection between the multiplication tables and the Bible!" retorted the agnostic.
The Christian replied, "Ah, but nobody knows who wrote the multiplication tables, either."
