Clowns Liza, Gabby and Polly.
Props
- Hearts: Begin with a large thick piece of durable foam. Cut it in the shape of a heart. Then cut a second heart out of the center so that you have a large heart with an empty center and a smaller heart which fits back in exactly. Using a paint which does not eat foam, paint both hearts bright red. Letter 'JESUS' on the smaller heart.
- Money: Play money - try to get the really big variety.
- Candy: One or more chocolate bars - if possible, get the extra large ones. If you will perform this skit regularly, consider covering cardboard with the wrappers so that you can keep the prop on hand.
- Fun: This could be a bright colored plastic slinkey or some other toy.
This skit is based on the folk song, 'There's A Hole In My Bucket, Dear Liza'.
Clown 1:
There's a hole in my heart dear Liza, Dear Liza
There's a hole in my heart dear Liza, a hole

Clown 3 (speaks)
Each of us has a hole in our heart that only Jesus can fill.
Nothing else will fit there.
Until we ask Jesus to fill it, we'll never be really happy.
Clown 2 (speaks)
What about me? I think I have a hole in my heart too.
Will Jesus fill my hole too?
Clown 3 (speaks)
Yes, of course He will
All you have to do is ask
Jesus loves you (points to clowns)
And you (pointing to children) and you and every one of us
Let's sing it together,
All:
There's a hole in my heart dear Jesus, dear Jesus
There's a hole in my heart dear Jesus, a hole
Only You can fill it dear Jesus, dear Jesus
Only You can fill it dear Jesus, this hole
Come into my heart, dear Jesus, dear Jesus
Come into my heart, dear, Jesus today
I love you Lord Jesus, Lord Jesus, Lord Jesus
I love you Lord Jesus, I love you my Lord
Clowns leave the stage or lead in another song.
