Danny Kaye stars in 'Hans Christian Andersen', a fictionalized biography of the famous storyteller. In many ways, the movie is more about Danny Kaye than about Hans Christian Andersen, allowing Danny Kaye to clown around, sing, dance, be silly and serious and dramatic - an excellent movie, although not historically accurate

The Inspector General, starring Danny Kaye

A review of 'The Inspector General' starring Danny Kaye - Collector's Edition DVD - hilarious, high recommended - An illiterate stooge in a traveling medicine show (Danny Kaye) wanders into a strange town and is picked up on a vagrancy charge. The town's corrupt officials mistake him for the Inspector General whom they think is traveling in disguise. Fearing he will discover they've been pocketing tax money, they make several bungled attempts to kill him.

White Christmas (1954), starring: Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye

After leaving the Army after W.W.II, Bob Wallace (Bing Crosby) and Phil Davis (Danny Kaye) team up to become a top song-and-dance act. Davis plays matchmaker and introduces Wallace to a pair of beautiful sisters (Betty and Judy) who also have a song-and-dance act. When Betty and Judy travel to a Vermont lodge to perform a Christmas show, Wallace and Davis follow, only to find their former commander, General Waverly, is the lodge owner. A series of romantic mix-ups ensue as the performers try to help the General.
