  1. It’s been reported that Curly made a second post-retirement cameo in “Malice in the Palace” in 1949, but this footage remains unavailable in deference to the “Shemp” version. A lobby card for the Curly version has been shown on a TV Special and in a Stooge biography.

  2. I noticed that Curly’s second cameo was not mentioned. In 1949 he played a Chef in “Malice in the Palace”, but either the footage was deleted, or printed in an alternate version reported to exist in the syndication package but mysteriously never used.
    I have been more than mystified that so many serious Stoogephiles show zero interest in contacting Columbia pictures re. this incredible artifact.
    Does anyone know if this footage will find its’ way onto the new DVD packages announced?
