  1. Somehow the subject of Danny Kaye came up and I wanted to find my favorite Danny movie.  It wasn’t in our movie guide.  I found your “Merry Andrew” review online and was heartily disappointed to learn that it’s not available.  The scene with Danny filling in for the ringmaster and floating off into the bigtop.  The contrast between the stuffy “Cheers, Cheers” song by his fiancee’s family and the wild “Salu!” by Danny his new love’s family.  Danny at his best!

  2. I couldn’t agree more.  I think that ‘Merry Andrew’ is one of Danny Kaye’s finest movies, and I’ll be sure to update the review if and when it’s finally available on DVD.
