right, we, the people is the source of government. question. where does the "blessings" in "secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our prosperity" come from?
I agree with you, God is not mention in the constitution, but where does the blessings come from, if not from God?

Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of people that these liberties are the gift of God--- Thomas Jefferson

Also, just look at the Declaration of Independence. It;s spelled out pretty clear to me Who the Founding Fathers believed our rights come from. A man is a man not because government says he is one, but because God made him one.

On the day that Congress finished its work on the First Amendment, it called on President George Washington to issue a Proclamation to the people of the United States to thank God for the freedoms we enjoy. A week and a day later the President's opening paragraph in his Proclamation said: "Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor . . ."

"In the bible belt there are more unwed mothers, more abortion, more murder......"
Correct. And which state in the union has the LOWEST divorce rate per capita? A Bible Belt Jesusland Red State such as Louisiana(Jindal), Arkansas (Huckabee), or even Alaska (Palin)?
Why, no. It's "liberal, godless" Massachusetts (Teddy Kennedy, John Kerry). For all of their bombast, conserva-tard "Christian Patriot" types can't walk the walk when it comes right down to it.

Amazing, isn't it, that for all of the "thumbs down" evaluations I was given, not one of the mindless sheep who so clicked could refute what I said about Francis Bellamy the Socialist, and his original Pledge of Allegiance as written in 1892.
That speaks volumes about conserva-tards: they are long on emotional rage, but short on intellect, and even shorter on facts to support their position.

Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear.
