I've read the Bible. Its a good read. As is the Bhagavad Gita and Koran. (Neither are actually as well written as the Norse or Greek creation myths though . Now they're great!). But no-one now would claim them to be the truth, far less put Odin or Zeus as a moral

figurehead fro the twentieth century. Turning into showers of gold (as Zeus did) is mythology, creating talking donkeys (as in the bible) is the same. The demands for the slaughter of gays etc. ar equally anachronistic and thankfully in secular societies like our own are nowadays ignored.
