MoonFaker has it wrong, I suggest you do your own research, without someone telling you what they think the answer is.
With some digging at The Health Physics Society I found that the majority of (the low energies below 10 MeV) alpha and beta particles in the VAB would be stopped by 2 CM of aluminum. The astronauts were in fact exposed, but it was only about 2 rem during the most intense part of the VAB, and they were only in the belts for an hour at most.

would you trust anybody who says the "van allen belt" is safe for humans to be in. according to science, thats not possible without inches thick lead shielding... NASA contradicts itself everywhere, as shown very clearly (scientifically) here... search for "MoonFaker: Radioactive Anomaly"

ive done my 9/11 homework. the info is all over the net. after intense comparison with omitted witness statements from the gov. report, ... i know 9/11 was an inside job. it is just as impossible, that we landed humans on the moon in 1969. all NASA's explanations to the countless flaws in the apollo mission, have the same character of total denial as the 9/11 gov. report ... its the same BS all the way.

The US government will never lie to people. Never! There are weapons of mass destruction and oil under those Iraqi sands. And there is oil on the moon! And we intend to get there and do the others too. Not because it is easy. But because it is hard. Because that will take the best of the tax payer's money. And we won't waste it. We will never lie about oil or weapons of mass destructions or moon landings.
