I've gone hiking around that facility! Right next to the gate! Looks like a toxic waste dump leak there are fences and yellow tape everywhere!

You could always put back the waste material where it came from, if thats not enough then i'm sure that there is allot of other uses for DU.
And besides, it's not only the death toll of fossil fuel plants that are important, it's also the economy and the higher demand for energy, if we stop using the Uranium that is available to us just because of the fear of the waste products, then there will only be more damage from the use of all those cheap fossil fuels.

Wow! REALLY?! You DO?! And there are some people who believe ELVIS is still alive and there are people who think there is JESUS face in a screen door (Google that!).
So, tell me, since you know what is involved, how are we suppose to dispose of the waste? For every pound of U-235 you wind up with 100 pounds of 238. What to do with all of that? Turn it into weapons of indiscriminate genocide and use it against "Brown people" in Iraq, Afghan or AUSTRALIA? (google it). Why do you agree with him?

I know what it takes to get a single pound of usable Uranium-235 and I know what depleted Uranium is. And miraculously, I agree with Darkwizzrobe ;)

Darkwizzrobe - Are you kidding me? Sure, some people die in mines and machinery accidents all the time. But think of the pollution of radioactive waste. There is truly no way to dispose of it. And dont give me that Yucca Mountain or "recycling" crap, it just gets even more radioactive and dangerous with recycling.
Do you know what it takes to get a single pound of usable Uranium?! NO! Do you even know what Depleted Uranium is? Its WASTE UPON WASTE! Do the research. See for yourself.

More people die in Coal and Oil in a year than all the deaths from these nuclear accidents. Nuclear a safer solution.
