I worked at the Greensboro, NC hub. I was a loader and a pick off. This video is pretty much right on. It makes this video more unique in the fact that I actually worked this job and know the set up

Nic vid..I work at worldport n Louisville as an unloaded and jus bout everything was right except the weight of the cans..I unloaded 3 last night that were over 5,000 lbs lol..it sucked

Overall this video was accurate, but they screwed up some details. 2,000 lbs is a LIGHT can. Double that is about normal, but I've seen them up to 12,000 lbs.

I've been told summer is worse, you have so much help during peak that the second you back up someone is there helping you get clean. During the summer, you have people on vacation and it's hot as shit.

The paper is just as bad. 50+lbs and held together with 2 straps and a lid that comes off so easily. Two things that should not be shipped through UPS-Paper and light bulbs/fixtures.

Yeah same here, some nights are better than others at that place. I hate when they screw up the start time. A 5:50 start time for 135k flow predicted for the night. ridiculous. I load a truck by myself, it does at least a rail every night and often does half of a pup. It sucks so bad in there. You start off heavy as hell with a verizon shot and an East Coast shot, then it lightens up and you get absolutely destroyed at the end of the night. I average about 1,200-1,600 scans a night.

joeyzaine111 (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
What do you do at UPS? Sort, load, unload?
