Okay, this one's not a silent, but it does star my favorite silent comedian Harry Langdon as a lone wanderer who manages to hitch a ride on an airplane and make his fellow passengers wish they'd taken the bus. THE HITCHHIKER features an extended version of Langdon's classic attempts to treat a cold, which were originally seen in his feature film THE STRONG MAN in 1926.

Ha, I very rarely say "poor Vernon" but when Harry sneezes on him...oh yuck, I would die. It's great to see the routine in sound. Super funny. Thanks for posting!

What I find fascinating is the plane ride itself - so casual! I know this was filmed in a studio, but it must have represented a real plane ride (to a point, of course). They look as though they're all just seated on benches. And I love when he opens the window mid-flight! The curtains are a nice touch, too. 1933 - it must be before any concept of standardizing flights. No long-range commercialized passenger planes yet!
