Secondly controlling these geological forces for the purposes of gaining energy is pointless, because compared to the energy we receive from the sun or the energy we could potentially gain from controlled fusion reactions, geothermal energy is shit all, and would have the biggest effects on these natural systems. So why bother?
PantherFox (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
I can see so many errors in his theory. Firstly it would take longer than 100 years for us to gain sufficient knowledge of the natural world for us to want to manipulate the geosystems and ecosystems of the earth to any great degree. Nearly all manipulations of the components in these systems may cause a catastrophic cascade of events, and 'controlling earthquakes' in particular would cause chaos to the natural plate movement and cyclicity of the systems of the earth.
Which would SUCK.
